A feature on the Anacostia Delta documentary and John Previti’s role as musical director. The film captures a tribute concert at the Birchmere featuring 30 local musicians honoring Danny Gatton, Roy Buchanan, Chick Hall Sr., and Joe Stanley.
“Reichhardt calls Previti ‘the spirit behind the film.’ ‘John has always wanted to do a film about the entire music scene that Danny came out of,’ Reichhardt says. ‘That’s sort of the genesis of this project.'”
The documentary was released in 2021 and has aired on Maryland Public Television, preserving the legacy of the D.C. guitar scene for future generations.
